William Least Heat Moon is a historian in English, Irish, and Osage ancestry in addition to being an American travel writer. He has authored several books about his travels and his most popular book titled, Blue Highways, follows his three-month-long journey across the United States in 1978 after losing his teaching job and separating from his wife.
