Danford Toan was an architect and designer known for his work designing college libraries across North America. Toan was a founding partner of Warner Burns Toan & Lunde Architects & Planners (WBTL) in New York. He held the position of Director of the New York City Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) from 1975-76 while active in the urban design community. He also worked with Grumman on feasibility studies on orbital space stations and vehicles. Toan died in 2013 at the age of 94 in Tappan, NY.
