Peter Eisenman is an American architect considered one of the New York Five, a group of five architects based in New York City whose work was featured in the 1972 book, Five Architects. Dr. Eisenman is known for deconstructive or modernist designs. Dr. Eisenman holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell, a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University, a M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, as well as an honorary degree from Syracuse University School of Architecture. Dr. Eisenman founded the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in 1967 and currently teaches at the Yale School of Architecture.
