Henry Glassie is an American author and Professor Emeritus at Indiana University of Bloomington. Glassie received his B.A. in English and Anthropology from Tulane University, his M.A. from the Cooperstown Program at the New York State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in folklore. Glassie is known for books of folkloristic interest, with a particular focus on vernacular architecture, art, drama and song.
