Michael Graves was an American architect and product designer. For nearly forty years, Graves held a position as a professor of architecture at Princeton University. He designed buildings across the US, including multiple commissions for Disney. In 1964, Graves founded an architecture and design company that continues to work around the world. In 2001, Graves received the highest award from the American Institute of Architects, the AIA Gold Medal, as well as a fellowship for his architectural work. Graves died in Princeton, New Jersey in 2015.
