Mauro Ceconello is an Associate Professor in Industrial Design at Politecnico di Milano.
Mauro's background is in Architecture. In 2002, he joined the Design Department and oriented
his research from virtual reality and reverse modeling to mobile apps and serious games and lately to
tangible and embodied interaction. He has always been attracted by technology and its use for supporting
creativity and design as well as culture valorization and dissemination.
His teaching activities focus on Product and Industrial Design. He is in charge of a Foundation Drawing
Studio, where he teaches freehand sketching, technical drawing and prototyping techniques. He is also
responsible for a Final Synthesis Design Studio, teaching students how to develop a product with loT through
a typical design process: i.e., need-finding, user research, concept and product definition with models and
maquettes, to the final product presentation with a working prototype.
