Ben Nicholson is a Professor of Architecture & Design at the School of the Art Institute of
Chicago (SAIC). He lives and works in the former utopian community of New Harmony,
Indiana, on projects at the intersection of the urban & rural and the ridiculous & sublime.
It involves everything from gun culture, agriculture, labyrinth geometries and architectural
criticism. His lecture, entitiled Visions of Housing, Revolvers and Boats (1819 & 2019),
focuses on the aforementioned topics.
