Ottavio Di Blasi is an architect and close collaborator of Renzo Piano in the 1980s. He founded OTTAVIO DI BLASI & Partners in Milan in 1990. He teaches at the Politecnico di Milano. He is a Tutor for G124 (a Senate special commission devoted to the renaissance of Italian periph-eries) and a member of the Scien-tific Committee of the Renzo Piano Foundation. He stands by the belief that architecture must transform the world to leave it a slightly better place. His design attitude is based on the idea that architecture pro-vides a straightforward solution to many issues by combining invention, emotion, and competence through a humanistic approach.
